1973 AL Game: Det. @ Bos.

  Mickey Lolich struck out 10 and Bill Freehan had 3 RBI as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Red Sox 6-3 at Fenway Park in Boston today. Lolich got into the 8th inning before tiring and John Hiller came in to pick up his 2nd Save. Freehan doubled and tripled to drive in 3. Willie Horton and shortstop Eddie Brinkman got into the act with solo homeruns. Brinkman has been red-hot to start the season and is hitting .500.

Mickey Lolich retired 10 batters on strikeouts as the Detroit Tigers topped
the Boston Red Sox by a score of 6 to 3 at Fenway Park.
 
Lolich(2-0) earned his pay with a solid performance for Detroit.  He allowed 8
hits and no walks in 7 innings.  Detroit banged out 11 hits on the afternoon.
 
Lolich got relief help from John Hiller who gained credit for his 2nd save.
Marty Pattin(0-2) took the loss.  'Everything felt great' Lolich said. 'I had
a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody today.'
