Atlanta's Darrell Evans had a game he won't soon forget. Evans went 5 for 6 with 8 RBI in the Brave's pounding of the SF Giants 19-8. He hit 3 homeruns off Giant starter Juan Marichal, then added 2 triples later on in the game. The 8 RBI are the most by any batter in a game this season in the NL.

This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 6 times. Pat Dobson(4-3) was the winner allowing 7 runs in 5 innings. Tom House earned his 1st save. The losing pitcher was Juan Marichal(4-3). He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 3 innings of work.
