1973 AL Standings and League Leaders

 May 16, 1973

The Baltimore Orioles lead the AL East by a large margin over my 2nd place Detroit Tigers. They have the best record in the AL (24-7). The AL West is a different story with 5 teams bunched up near the top of the Division. The Chicago White Sox and Oakland A's are tied for 1st. Kansas City is only 1 game back.
Minnesota's Rod Carew is hitting a MLB best .413. Chicago's Wilbur Wood has the most Wins (8), but California's Nolan Ryan has been the best overall starter (7-2, 1.79 ERA, 97 K's).
