NL 1973 Standings and League Leaders

 April 15, 1973

We're halfway through the first month of the 1973 MLB season. The New York Mets (6-1) and the Montreal Expos (5-2) have both gotten off to fine starts in the NL East. In the West, the Los Angeles Dodgers (8-2) and Atlanta Braves (6-3) are on top off their division.
Montreal's Ron Fairly is off to a hot start batting .600. Cincinnati's Joe Morgan is batting .400 with 3 Homeruns and a league leading 15 RBI. LA's Willie Crawford is .485, 2, 14. Gregg Luzinski (Phi.), Hank Aaron (Atl.), and Lee May (Hou.) have all hit 5 Homeruns already.
New York's Tom Seaver is 2-0 and hasn't allowed a run yet. St. Louis Cardinal Rick Wise is also 2-0 and has allowed just 1 run. Chicago Cub Fergison Jenkins and Cincinnati Red Don Gullett have both been mowing down the batters with 17 K's each.
